![]() ![]() I have no problem admitting that the distribution of the game itself is illegal, my rant only applies to RM2k/3, as RM2k was released in a single package, including the translation / files. See Software license agreement, I'm no lawyer and I don't know much copyright law, but I think there needs to be proof the patch is illegal, rather than blatently stating it is. I also wonder if the patch in itself was 'illegal' (ie, to download, host, or own) so much just applying it is, and even that I wonder about the 'legality' of it. In short: I think he was only responsable for the patch. ![]() From previous reading of places such as RPG Advocate's site, I belive he only released the RM2k3 translation patch (not the game itself) and encouraged people to buy Rpg Maker 2003 from stores like Himeya, and software pirates later released already patched version using his translation.
